Here are some examples of my previous work for people:

Crafter FX550-EQ

Before: Oops!! Well, let's see what can be done....

So let's start with cleaning the break, aligning it up, then gluing and clamping it back together.
Then we'll sand off the broken original front mahogany veneer.......
.....and replace it with a nice new one!
Neck was then re-finished to ensure colour and surface match.
After: There, all done! New headstock logo stickers made, front lacquered, nut replaced and all strung up.

Ovation Applause electro-acoustic

Before: binding broken, soundhole rosette missing,

and in need of a good old clean up!

After: new rosette, binding repaired, frets dressed and fingerboard cleaned up.

Rhino YJM50 amplifier head

Before: too loud!!! Necessary to install an extra component to attenuate the volume, so that you can still have the "tubes running flat out" sound but at bedroom levels! This 50-watt head runs through a Marshall JCM900 2x12 cabinet loaded with Celestions - it's VERY loud!

Drilled a small hole in the amp chassis for mounting the extra control pot. Then there's a bit of wiring up to do.
After: extra control mounted on rear of amp chassis. Now it can be run at lower volume, but still have the desired sound.

...and here are some typical jobs I've done on my own instruments:

1985 Westone Spectrum

Here I'm replacing all three pickups. I also replaced all the original controls pots, which had become corroded and made scratchy sounds when used. I even replaced the wires, as they too were showing signs of corrosion.

...and giving the frets a much-needed level, crown and dress! This helped the lower frets to sound more in tune, and also meant I could set the intonation more accurately.

Aria Mac 57/7

Having a pickup upgrade! Out come the standard ones, and in go EMG's!

Routing out the pickup cavities to accomodate the slightly larger EMG shape.

Job done! Custom made pickup rings finish it off nicely. I've actually replaced these EMGs with active ones now.

Later I decided to give the 18volt conversion a go: well worth trying!!! (They're rated to 27volts.)
